How would you classify your music?

Our music can be classified as folk/pop

Who are some of your top 5 musical influences?

Our music influences are far and in between. Disney, movie soundtracks, the Foo Fighters, Adele, and being in choir/band. Orchestral/symphony pieces as well.

What do you want fans to take from your music?

We want our fans to have a feeling of depth and joy when listening to our music.

How’s the music scene in your locale?

There are many opportunities musically in our community, ranging from small gigs to recording music. We live near Nashville, Tn. so there is music going on all of the time.

When did you know you were destined for music?

I, Elisabeth, knew that music was my destiny when I was 11 years old. After being a part of band and theatre I knew that God was calling me into music. For Lily, music has always been a part of her life along with her artwork. From a very young age, she knew that music was in her life path.

What is the best concert you have been to? What do you like most about playing live?

The best concert I, Elisabeth, have ever been to was seeing Royal Blood live. As for Lily, the best concert she has been to are any of the choir concerts seen at Maryville College. We love playing live because of the rawness of live performances, to experience the people who love music, and to share stories through music.

Is there a song on your latest CD release here that stands out as your personal favorite, and why?

For our new single, this song stands out to us because it is different than what we have done before, but just as fun and meaningful.

How have you evolved as an artist over the last year?

We both have evolved as artists throughout the past year through teaching from professors, professionals, and our own experiences.

If you could meet, play a gig, co-write a song, have dinner, have a drink with any band or artist (dead or alive) who would it be and why?

For Lily, it would be John Powell because he helped her to see how music can bring things to life. For Elisabeth, it would be the band Set It Off or Thomas Bergersen. This band helped her to see the complexity in lyric writing and inspired her to write music in the first place.

What’s next for you?

The next step for us is to record more of our upcoming music, grow our fans, and share our music with the world.
