Dr. Arial Ostad is an expert in the realm of skin cancer. He was joined by skin cancer patient Ron Maniloff to explain some important things people need to know about a lesser-discussed version of non-melanoma skin cancer known as cutaneous squamous cell carcinoma a.k.a CSCC.
A recent survey by SkinCancer.org added some insights on this preventable and treatable if found early-enough condition. This is the second most common type of cancer in the US, and it is more common than lung, breast and prostate cancers combined.
Dr. Arial Ostad and Ron Maniloff spoke with Michelle Tompkins for The Hollywood Digest about CSCC, how it is diagnosed, treatment options, how to beat it as a patient and what the Skin Cancer Foundation is doing to shed light on this subject.
