Italian luxury fashion brand Versace chose supermodel Emily Ratajkowski as the star of their Spring/Summer 2023 ad campaign. In an Instagram post, Ratajkowski stated that being the face of Versace has always been a dream of hers. She even mentioned that she continually had to pinch herself on set to check if she was really living out her dream. Ratajkowski is not the only one delighted by the campaign, as fashion designer Donatella Versace herself praised the supermodel for the stunning ad campaign.
The supermodel has a long working relationship with the Italian luxury fashion brand. It seems that she will continue to work with Versace, thanks to the beautiful outcome of the Spring/Summer 2023 ad campaign.

Versace brought some of the greatest talents in the fashion industry for their brand’s Spring/Summer 2023 ad campaign. Supermodel Emily Ratajkowski is front and center for the latest ad campaign of Versace’s women’s collection, while top fashion photographers Mert Alas and Marcus Piggott were behind the camera. Versace gathered some of the most famous names in the industry because they wanted to break barriers with their most Y2K release yet.
To illustrate, Versace styled Ratajkowski in a flowy purple shirt and low-rise jeans, which were quite popular during the turn of the millennium. In another photo, the supermodel wears low-rise denim pants and a coordinating bustier that would remind one of the outfits of TLC and Britney Spears back in the day. She also shows off Versace’s Repeat bag in both photos to present the updated look of the brand’s archival hobo bag.
On top of that, Ratajkowski also wore Versace sunglasses for the brand’s Spring/Summer 2023 eyewear ad campaign. Though there are many releases for the collection, the supermodel wore the purple Versace VE3341U, which is only available at LensCrafters. This particular style has oversized square lenses and shiny frames that are reminiscent of the popular sunglasses styles in the 2000s.

Why Versace Chose Ratajkowski For Their Campaigns
Emily Ratajkowski is one of the best talents in the industry. In fact, she achieved feats that iconic supermodels like Kathy Ireland have attained. Much like Ireland, Ratajkowski has graced the cover of Vogue and even got featured in Sports Illustrated’s 50th-anniversary swimsuit issue.
Due to her stellar modeling experience, Ratajkowski became a good friend of Donatella Versace herself. She frequently walked on fashion shows for the Italian luxury brand, which is why she got close to the fashion designer over time. In fact, Ratajkowski even received a stunning black-top handled bag from the fashion designer after she gave birth to her son in 2021.
As such, it’s not surprising that Versace chose Emily Ratajkowski for the Spring/Summer 2023 ad campaign. Donatella said she envisions the Versace woman as a strong and purposeful leader. For this season, the fashion designer stated that she wants the Versace woman to wear bold colors and powerful silhouettes to mirror their ambitious personality. These characteristics resonate with Emily Ratajkowski, who became an actress, writer, and activist, while also successfully cementing her status as a supermodel.
