World-renowned actor Robert LaSardo (Nip/Tuck, The Mule, Death Race) is releasing his directorial debut “American Trash” through Deep C Digital on cable and digital platforms on September 10th, 2024. Written by LaSardo, “American Trash” is a crime thriller set in Los Angeles, and includes one of the final performances by “Saving Private Ryan” actor Tom Sizemore who died in 2023.
In addition to LaSardo and Sizemore, “American Trash” also stars Lorelei Linklater (“Boyhood”, “Bomb City”), Costas Mandylor (“Picket Fences”, “SAW” franchise”), Gigi Gustin (“Garden of Eden”, “That’s A Wrap”), and Elissa Dowling (“The Most Dangerous Game”, “Girl on the Third Floor”).
The film is executive produced by LaSardo, with producers Josh Webber and Diana Ramos-Santiago.
Plot Summary:
Set amidst a social crisis in the decaying world of Los Angeles, American Trash watches as the city freefalls into environmental ruin, chaos and a complete drug epidemic. Milles Carpis (LaSardo) leans on the support of some new age hippie friends as they guide him away from violence when the woman he loves (Linklater) is murdered, subsequently turning to Detective Anderson (Mandylor) for help in his search for her killer.
