Snoop Dogg has teamed up with Matt Cimber to portray the Baron in the remake of Cimber’s notorious 1970s film The Candy Tangerine Man.
Matt Cimber is an American producer, director, and writer of film, television, and theatre. He is known for directing diverse genre films The Candy Tangerine Man, The Witch Who Came from the Sea, Hundra, and the controversial 1982 drama Butterfly.
Cimber’s original 1980’s creation of GLOW (The Gorgeous Ladies of Wrestling) has recently been successfully revived by Netflix.

The Candy Tangerine Man is a 1975 American action-adventure blaxploitation film starring John Daniels, Eli Haines and Tom Hankason. Distributed by Moonstone Entertainment, it follows the story of the powerful “Black Baron”, both a pimp and a doting father.
The remake of The Candy Tangerine Man is scheduled to begin in the fall. No distributor has been announced yet. The updated script is by John Goff and Steve Blance.
