Hello Andre Footz! Great to speak with you today!
What have you been working on lately?
I’ve really been focused on singles, I think singles are vital when building a fanbase. So just singles and learning more about marketing.
Who inspired you to get into music?
My cousin Vernon inspires me to get into music, he’s a rapper as well and he had a group back in the day and I looked up to these guys their style was crazy and they did everything in house, they never let me record with them because I was too young but that’s when I feel like I wanted to make music of my own.
When was the first time you recall thinking that you wanted to pursue music as your career?
I wanted to pursue music as a career since I was young, watching my favorite rapper live in these big houses and have all the girls etc. That seemed like the lifestyle I wanted to live so I always wanted music to be my job.
What is your favorite song you’ve ever released and why?
I don’t think I have a favorite song of mine yet or I don’t feel like I’ve written it yet…I love all my music because I remember a time when I couldn’t make music the way I do now.
Who are some of the artists currently inspiring you?
Some artists I vibe with currently is Brent Faiyaz, other than that I’m into older music from the 90s and 80s. I don’t get any feelings from the newer music
What are you hoping to see in the music world as it continues to evolve?
What I expect to see is the comeback of individuality, I’m only 29 but I remember when I was coming up, it wasn’t cool to sound like everybody else and now that’s how the game works. I make music I would want to hear on the radio and not for other people which makes me stand out along with the fact that I produce and record all my own stuff
