Hello Jim! Thank you for chatting today!

Tell us about your latest release!

“When My Truck” is the latest single off my second album, Color Outside The Lines.  My daughter joked that “someone’s going to write a country song about being left by a self-driving truck”….and I said “yeah, and that someone’s going to be ME!”  I had a great time filming the video with director John Chuldenko – you can see what we came up with here: https://youtu.be/pBmyHh0UkF4

Who are some of your biggest musical influences?

Most are singer-songwriters I’ve been listening to for years – Warren Zevon and Bob Dylan would be at the top of the list.  Jason Isbell is a newer favorite – I’ve become a huge fan and covered two of his songs on my recent Soultrain Sessions EP.

Who would be a dream collaboration for you?

Feasibility aside, writing a song with Warren Zevon would be a dream come true!

Do you have a piece of advice you carry with you that you like to pass on to other musicians?

Most people overestimate what they can do in 6 months and underestimate what they can do in 6 years.  I’ve learned to set attainable short term goals, but shoot high on long term goals. Be stubborn as gravity.”

Any upcoming projects we should be on the lookout for?

Amazingly, Color Outside The Lines came out two years ago!  I’m deep into writing for the next record and it looks like I’ll have a new single early in the new year.

Please let everyone know where they can keep up with you and your music!
