The skin is the largest organ of the body. As we get older we seek skin care treatments to preserve our youth. Today I am speaking with Stephanie Stern who is changing the treatment of how we care for our skin and body wellness.

David: You have created Body Luv spray. Can you explain how that product is used and what it achieves?

Stephanie: Body Luv is the first of its kind: a Hyaluronic Acid Body Spray. It’s an anti-aging and hydrating product that acts as good carbs for your skin. The molecular weight of hyaluronic acid can help restore the skin barrier! You simply spray it on damp skin, rub or pat it in, and you can be assured that you’re strengthening our body’s first line of defense for our immune system—our skin!

David: You have also developed the Crepey Skin Complex for Body Wellness. How is that product used, and what benefits does it provide?

Stephanie: This product was inspired by my late mother and is designed for lovely, mature individuals—both women and men—who want more than just a basic body lotion. It contains nourishing anti-aging, moisturizing ingredients like peptides, niacinamide, and shea butter. It helps to tighten the skin and works excellently when used in conjunction with Body Luv. I’d also like to update the name! I considered using my mother’s name but ultimately didn’t. I’m open to suggestions for the new batch coming out.

David: If you had been able to launch SknLuv.com before your mother passed away, what do you think her reaction would have been?

Stephanie: Mom would be so proud! While she might have raised an eyebrow at our Intimate Wellness Collection, she would have loved the Crepey Skin Complex and the Body Luv HA spray!

David: Have consumers tried the “Luv Her” and “Luv Him” topical enhancement gels? What feedback have they provided?

Stephanie: Yes, I’m grateful for the positive feedback we’ve received! The most interesting response was regarding Luv Her, where some users asked if I could add something spicy to the formula because it had a bitter taste. I had to remind them that it’s not meant for ingestion, but I’m considering it!

David: What do you suggest a man or woman imagine when they apply the product to themselves?

Stephanie: Imagine a warm, then cool, minty kiss! I want to encourage more love for ourselves and each other, so I hope they’re having fun imagining whatever brings them more love!

David: How do you envision your products helping couples grow closer? Would applying the cream to each other help?

Stephanie: Absolutely! Our lives are incredibly short, and SknLuv Body Wellness’ Intimate line is all about experiencing love. It involves both giving and receiving to create moments of goodness and connection for couples. So, you can rub it on your partner, yourself, or both! It could definitely add some excitement to intimacy.

David: Do you think the bond and intimacy created would also work for same-sex couples? For instance, if a woman applied it to her female partner or if it were used between two men?

Stephanie: Yes, one million percent!

David: Can you imagine that, if you and your husband had access to these products, they might have helped bring you closer and possibly prevented your divorce? In essence, how do your products support positive intimate relationships?

Stephanie: I’m very grateful that SknLuv Body Wellness products are formulated with a clear intention behind each one: to promote a stronger emotional connection between skincare and body wellness. Luv Her and Luv Him are the first in our Intimate Wellness series, focusing on fun, loving, positive interactions between body and skin. I’m aware that breakup statistics are high among couples lacking a strong, intimate bond. After my divorce, that is why I aimed to create something to help couples stay together!

David: What feedback are you receiving from users in the marketplace, and how does it make you feel?

Stephanie: I am so thankful for the positive feedback! People can feel the intention behind each product and the love I’ve poured into the formulations. Interestingly, some feedback has been less about the formulations and more about the logo design. I mentioned that I appreciate its direct simplicity, but I’m open to new ideas.

David: Can you share one or two of your “silly quirks”? How do you accept those quirks in yourself now?

Stephanie: Well, I save everything—bottles, bags, boxes, you name it, and I have empty ones waiting to be reused! My late father grew up during the Great Depression and instilled in my siblings and me the importance of not wasting anything. Now, it’s eco-conscious, but I’m pretty sure my boyfriend rolls his eyes when I save yet another Ziploc bag!

David: What is your vision for your company, SknLuv, five years from now?

Stephanie: I aim for SknLuv Body Wellness to be a successful part of a healthy lifestyle collective that promotes emotional well-being and healing for men, women, singles, and couples. I would be beyond grateful for that! To me, it would mean we are truly loving ourselves and others more!
