Just in time for Valentine’s Day, award-wining composer/lyricist Lynn Portas conceived of Emusi to contemporize the old singing telegram—right to your screen with direct messaging and personalized social media posts in song. The near limitless collection of Portas’ jingles with professional studio recordings featuring the composer’s own keyboard and voice are designed for every occasion and most any situation.

Emusi (i.e. – music emoji!) is simple to use and readily available in both Apple and Android versions. Here’s a repertoire of the widest variety of genre, mood and ‘tude, with search options for category, song title and keyword. The app gives the user musical responses and messages that are instantly shared as audio-linked text, email, or social media posting. Portas’ outstanding repertoire includes occasions in an expansive greeting card mode (“It’s a Girl!”, “Haven’t Talked for a While”, “No Valentine”, “Hey 21”, “I Love You More”, “Healthy Ever After”—in 3-part harmony), quick messaging (“Walk the Dog”, “Mom’s in a Mood”) or statements lightly ironic (“Low on Coffee”, “Who Left the Toilet Seat Up?”, “You Butt-Dialed Me”), to the markedly humorous, ‘adult’ (“Scary B*tch Beguine”, “Please F*ck Off”, “I Don’t Give a Sh*t, and the immortal “I Wanna Go Home and Get Laid”) being just a few examples.
