Every year, close to 16,000 families receive the devastating news that a child they love has cancer.

One event planner wants to ease the burdens faced by these families by bringing back a popular fundraiser for St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital.

“Halloween Hotness 7: Stronger Together” is a red carpet, star-studded event to be held Saturday, Oct. 16 at Madame Tussauds Hollywood (6933 Hollywood Blvd.). Red carpet arrivals are slated to start at 6:30 p.m. on Hollywood Boulevard’s Walk of Fame in front of the venue.

The event was founded by Brian Sikoff, an entertainment industry professional and event planner who created the annual fundraiser in 2014 in memory of a family member lost to pancreatic cancer.

Last year, the event was put on hold due to the pandemic. Now, with COVID-19 restrictions lifted, Sikoff is excited to bring back Halloween Hotness for the seventh time. His goal to raise as much  money as possible to help St. Jude in their mission to prevent and cure catastrophic pediatric diseases like leukemia and other cancers through research and treatment.

Sikoff said while this has been his goal every year, bringing back this popular event after the pandemic has compelled him to go bigger than ever.

“We’re thrilled to bring back what we hope will be our most amazing fundraiser ever,” he said. “To help us pull this off, we are inviting visionaries and changemakers to join us in lending their voices to children experiencing a pediatric illness. If this sounds like you, I invite you to contact us now to learn how you can get involved.”

At Halloween Hotness, guests will enjoy red carpet arrivals covered by the media, DJ, raffles, costume contest, interactive attractions within the venue, live auctions, a cash bar and much more, all from a rooftop with a view of Hollywood. Costumes are welcomed but not required.

Founded in 1962, St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital is a nonprofit institution that costs more than $2.8 million to run each day. Their services are available to all, regardless of their ability to pay.

“The need for our support is great,” Sikoff said. “That’s why we want to raise as much as we can for these families while having a night of unparalleled Halloween fun on Hollywood Boulevard.”

Celebrities, influencers, and sponsors interested in participating in the event can contact Sikoff at [email protected] or 805-444-3264.
