Kevin Makely, Shawn Nightingale and Justin Lee team up again to produce Papa Octopus Productions’ third western BADLAND. Currently filming on location in Santa Clarita, California at the legendary Veluzat Motion Picture Ranch, BADLAND stars Kevin Makely who leads a stellar cast that includes Academy Award-winner Mira Sorvino, Academy Award-honoree Wes Studi, two-time Academy Award-nominee Bruce Dern, and country music superstar Trace Adkins. Rounding out the cast are Tony Todd, James Russo, and Jeff Fahey and Amanda Wyss who are reuniting on screen for the first time since working together on Silverado 34 years ago.
Written and directed by Justin Lee, BADLAND takes place more than a decade after the Civil War. Facing a moral dilemma, one of the first United States African American senators chooses to commission hardened Pinkerton Detective Mathias Breecher (Makely) with the impossible task: hunting down three murderous Confederate war criminals and bringing them to justice.
