Cardi B has hit out at her media critics and rap rivals in her new single PRESS.

The hip-hop star released her new track at midnight on Friday, and its chorus made clear what she thinks of negative stories about her.

“Cardi don’t need more press,” she raps. “Kill ’em all, put them hoes to rest.”

The hip-hop star has been the subject of intense media scrutiny since her mainstream breakthrough in 2017, and slammed editors at U.S. website TMZ.com for a story claiming she was planning to host her own talk show as recently as last week.

She has also been hit by a number of controversies, including a court case over allegations she ordered an attack on two bartenders, and an infamous fracas with Nicki Minaj and her entourage at a New York Fashion Week party.

Her split and reconciliation with her rapper husband Offset and an admission that before finding fame she sometimes drugged men who came to hotel rooms with her and robbed them have also made headlines.

On the track, the star hits out at music industry rivals like Nicki, claiming they’re plotting against her.

“B-B**ches in my business, they tryin’ to plot,” she spits on the new track. “Hoes poppin’ s**t like they hot but they not.”

The cover art for the single shows her nude, handcuffed, and being swarmed by paparazzi, in a similar manner to recent court appearances. While another piece of promotional art shows her holding up her cuffed wrists to her neck, a reference to a famous photo of serial killer Aileen Wuornos.
