This past year for John Pasquale, lovingly known as SohoJohnny, was marked with a barrage of events, celebrity interviews, record breaking artists joining his record label, entertainment and philanthropy. It actually began last December with the New York and LA screening of the exorcism themed thriller “The Possession of Anne” where he played a supporting role and is also one of the Executive Producers. In a huge screening and red carpet extravaganza featuring guests including Michael Musto (as host and critic), Sadie Katz (producer), Randy Edelman (score), and others, the event was a dazzling success. The film is set to release this coming February.
SohoJohnny has also seen this year the additional episodes for his “Soho At Night” late night talk/variety/entertainment project. He has interviewed celebrities including Lou Gramm (Foreigner), Melba Moore, Warren Haynes (Gov’t Mule, The Allman Brothers), D-Train, Hi5, David Amram (composer), Gianni Russo (The Godfather), Grandmaster Melle Mel, France Joli, John Robb (UK TV presenter and author), Brian Keane (composer), Susan Gallagher (Cobra Kai), and a barrage of others.
His record label “Tribeca Records” has seen a vast array of releases this year including new artist Jenny Grace, THE AMERICAN RELICS, Monkey King, AniMaze X, and a new album Re-issue from composer Randy Edelman to name a few. The single off the album by Edelman “Everything is Possible” became a global anthem after the war in Israel began and is being played on KISS FM, NPR Radio, Z100 NY, Hot 97 Chicago and LA, Washington DC and pretty much all over the nation as is the newest song by THE AMERICAN RELICS.
Soho was the host to several sparkling events this year as well. He produced his first art exhibition starring artist TATY who paints rockstars, celebrities, sports heroes, and family and friends. At his Christmas event he hosted an extraordinary gala for friends, family with stars including The Delfonics, The Drifters, political leader DeCosta Headly, and many artists and socialites were also present.
Soho also found himself attending the famous “Songwriters Hall of Fame” where he is a voting member. He rubbed elbows with the likes of Post Malone, Gloria Estefan, Jimmy Webb, Teddy Riley, Richie Sambora, Linda Moran, and Clive Davis. He was also invited to the New England Music Hall of Fame to witness the induction of Tribeca’s artist Randy Edelman. In his induction speech Edelman thanked Soho for his support and attendance.
SohoJohnny was also honored by an award given to him by The Luce Foundation for his philanthropy with his Let Me Help, Inc Foundation. Soho is a huge supporter of charitable enterprises and is continuously raising money and awareness through music, laughter, and dance. His foundation was born after his mom passed from Covid and has been active ever since.
As co-owner of Pep Real Estate Soho has become the leading pop-up go-to in New York City. Managing and co-owning some of the most desirable commercial spaces in the Soho area of Manhattan (known for its high end, artsy and trendy boutiques, galleries, designer storefronts, architecture, restaurants and event spaces), Pep Real Estate has made a name for itself that will mark history owning 25 spaces including galleries, rooftops, penthouses, storefronts, lofts and of course pop-up locations, and nearly every type of real estate there is.
SohoJohnny’s stories intertwine our sorrows and unite us in joy flowing hand to hand in the past, present and future. We share, we cherish and we survive. He does his best to sew a seed that will grow while the colors of our lives are changing. Nothing may ever be perfect but there is always beauty somewhere, some will call it home, some will call it friendship, some will call it love, and some will call it “SohoJohnny.”
