What have you been busy working on?
I just released my new album VIVA, so I’ve been really busy promoting that. A few live-stream concerts. Radio interviews and interviews like these. Just spreading the word. The good news about VIVA the album, VIVA clothing, and everything else the team and I have in motion at VIVA House Records. Oh, and I have another kid on the way so I’ve been working on that too…if ya know what I mean lol wink
What is your signature style?
Vintage soul meets ghetto sheik
What do you believe needs a makeover in the music world?
The way the industry treats women and the slave contracts they lock these artists into. There’s a lot of old ways of doing business that should no longer apply to a new, ever-changing landscape like the music business.
If you could do a duet with any artist, living or not, who would it be and why?
I would have loved to be able to get into the studio and write a song with Bob Dylan. His style of writing. That simple yet potent, introspective, and emotive lyrics….and his delivery! I could’ve definitely learned a lot and I feel the song we would’ve made would be beautiful. Maybe a lil haunting too but definitely beautiful.
