Hi Gareth! Thanks for taking the time to chat with us today!

What was the creative process behind your new single, “2020 Of You”?

2020 was a bad year for friendships and relationships especially with COVID in the mix. It got the creative juices going. From those examples, a general message was established.

When did you know music was something you wanted to pursue?

I have enjoyed playing the viola and singing for most of my life, but during lockdown I took some vocal lessons, and my coach recognized a talent and gave me some much-needed encouragement to turn the dial up.

What kind of music played in your home growing up and does it influence your choices musically now?

My parents listened to primarily classical music when I was in the womb and during my childhood. It probably contributed to me having a great sense of pitch, rhythm, and tone. We had close personal friends that listened to a lot of music when we were around them. That was mostly classic rock, folk, and classical.

Is there an overall theme you are trying to capture when creating new music?

Bringing out the passion and meaning behind life experiences good or bad.

If you could open a show for any artist, who would it be and why?

Dave Matthews Band. They have been a part of my life since the 90’s. Their got me through some good and bad times. It would be nice to meet them and give my appreciation.

What are you wanting to learn more of in the next year?

I want to learn more about myself, who I am, and what I am capable of.
